6 Years Survivorship - Colon Cancer
We are lifelong learners. We learn from all situations. Having cancer taught me the importance of early detection. An ounce of prevention is easier than a pound of cure. Always have wellness appointments and listen to your body. Have a tremendous team of doctors and be compliant. My experience reaffirmed my belief in having a support network. An entire community went through my diagnosis, treatments, and cure with me. I could never let down all the people who were rooting for me. Always have a positive attitude. Search for silver linings. They can be found in unexpected places.
For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s. Join us to help finish the fight.
