In November of 2011 when he was 8 years old, David was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilm's Tumor (kidney cancer). David endured nine months of intensive chemotherapy and radiation at UVA Children's Hospital to treat the cancer. His treatment was a long and hard journey on our entire family, but our amazing God was with us throughout the entire treatment. Currently, David is a hilarious and spunky middle school student who loves NBA basketball and music and has been cancer-free for four years! Cancer has taught our entire family that faith and family are all that truly matter.
For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s. Join us to help finish the fight.
