1 Year Survivorship- Breast
At the age of 47 and never having been sick, not even with the flu, I was shocked learning I had breast cancer. I’m truly amazed by the positive attitudes of the people we have encountered on this journey. From the professionals to other patients in the treatment room. Their strength and positivity has helped me accept that this is just “one chapter” of my life and that hair does grow back! Cancer does not define me. It makes me better equipped to help others who are beginning their own journey.
For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s. Join us to help finish the fight.
