Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Years of Survivorship: 1 Year

I am a 39 year old married, mom of three. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in February of 2016. I had been exercising and I felt a soreness that didn’t seem to go along with exercise. I promptly went upstairs and began checking my breast and that is when I found the lump. Cancer has served as a lens from which I have found my focus in life. The things that used to weigh me down no longer do and the simple things that I have taken for granted, I try really hard not to anymore. Cancer has also shown me what love in action looks like and it has restored my faith in humanity.
